Germany,^[e] officially the Federal Republic of Germany (German: Bundesrepublik Deutschland),^[f] is a country in the western region of Central Europe. It is the second-most populous country in Europe after Russia, and the most populous member state of the European Union. Germany is situated between the Baltic and North seas to the north, and the Alps to the south. Its 16 constituent states are bordered by Denmark to the north, Poland and the Czech Republic to the east, Austria and Switzerland to the south, and France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands to the west. The nation's capital and most populous city is Berlin and its main financial centre is Frankfurt; the largest urban area is the Ruhr.

لمَانِيَا (بالألمانية: Deutschland  دويتشلاند) رسمِيّاً جُمهُورِيَّةُ أَلمَانِيَا الاِتِّحَاديَّة (بالألمانية: Bundesrepublik Deutschland  بوندسـريبّوبليك دويتشلاند).^[43] هي جمهوريَّة اتحاديَّة ديمقراطيَّة، تقع في وسط غرب أوروبا. تتكون من 16 ولاية تُغطي مساحة 357,021 كيلومتر مربع (137,847 ميل²)، وتتميَّز بمناخها الموسمي المعتدل. تُعدُّ ألمانيا الدولة الأوروبيَّة الأكثر سكاناً بأكثر من83.286.591 مليون نسمة حسب إحصائيَّات 2023م،^[44] كما تُعدُّ من أقوى دول الاتحاد الأوروبي وأوسعها نفوذًا.^[45]

تُعدُّ برلين أكبر مدنها وهي العاصمة ومقر السلطة فيها، كما تُعدُّ أيضاً أكبر مدن الاتحاد الأوروبي. النظام السياسياتحادي فيدرالي، ويتخذ شكلاً جمهورياً برلمانياً ديمقراطياً. تنقسم ألمانيا إلى ستة عشر 16 إقليماً اتحادياً يتمتع كل منها بسيادته وحكومته المحلية الخاصة.
